winner, weekend link, & ron

Thank you to everyone who entered my giveaway last week!
The winner was randomly selected as: AnnaKate! (I'll be contacting you shortly.)

I only have one link for you this week, but it's definitely worth the click:

Jones Design Company

(via site)

Just look at the "Tutorials" page. It's completely awesome. Especially this one, because after I finally realized I was doing it completely backwards and fixed it...they turned out beautifully. Well, at least for me :]

(Have any favorite links? Please share!)

As far as the "Ron" part of this post's title goes...
My birthday is actually in October, but yesterday I got an 'early' present. Yes, that would be little Ronald here. I'm afraid there's actually not a lot more I could say on this topic. Our vocab is far too limited to fully justify the sweetness and, basically, illegal cuteness of this guy.

I'm a total goner.

Happy Saturday!

weekend links

To be honest, there's just not a lot of "post-worthy" stuff going on in my life right now. You know, the end of summer, school about to start again, and all of that fun stuff?
So I'm just going to share a few blogs I found either hilarious, creative, or awesome this week.

Every Friday I'm going to (try to) share a few favorite reads. I mean, the list could go on and on...
What are some of your favorite blogs?

Happy weekend!

Can we just ignore the fact that I haven't posted since...a long time ago? Guys, it's been summer. What else can I say? You know when summer will go by lazily, and there's plenty of time for relaxing and catching your breath, and ...picking flowers and...and...sleeping and stuff. Me neither.
But I've got some plans for this blog, and I'm going to write a "catch up" post soon. I just wanted to let you know I'm still alive, and still blogging. And I pretty much mean for it to stay that way. :]

guest post by teaka.

Today Teaka is guest posting from her lovely blog, Life Like Honey

Hello all you lovely readers of The Thinking Blonde. I'm so thrilled to be a guest blogger today and get the opportunity to introduce myself, my blog and my current project
My name is Teaka and you can find me over at, Life Like Honey. I often blog about things that interest me and any adventures my husband and I went on, but mostly about sewing related things. Basically anything from interviews with Etsy fashion designers, projects I'm working on, DIYs,  to the progress of my own Etsy store which I'm hoping to have open before the middle of July.

I'm a pretty busy girl these days. I don't have much free time as most of my evenings, after a full day of work are spent pattern drafting, cutting out fabric, and sewing. Truthfully I'm addicted to sewing. I wish I could do it full time but for now I'm blessed to have a full time job that helps pay bills.

In the past I worked hard to design and sew a collection during my last semester in school, I called it The Honey Line. At the time I was really inspired by girly, vintage pieces that a modern, sweet girl might like to wear. It was an incredible learning curve as I had never sewn so many different pieces within a certain time constrain. I found myself spending many long nights in the college sewing lab putting things together. It was all worth it though because in the end I was super proud of my work and the over all look of my collection. You can check out all my pieces here, Part 1 and Part 2.

Right after I graduated I was convinced I would not let the summer go by without completing a long time goal of starting an Etsy shop. So back to the drawing board I find myself. I'm currently working on a smaller, simple summer collection. This time around the colors are bit more neutral with soft creams, white laces, greys and a quirky print. You'll find some fun girly dresses, skirts and tops. My hope is to keep things simple so I can offer a small, medium and larges in each of the garments.

I won't be releasing any photos but if you come check out my blog from now till mid July and you'll get some heads up when my shop will open. I'm very excited for that day!

Well thank you guys for reading my little write up. I hope you come by my blog and say hello. I'd love to meet you!

Thank you, Teaka, for the post! I am in love with The Honey Line. And that is all.

Now go check out her blog, and say hello!

this beautiful life // guest post by natalie

Thankfulness is such a simple yet complex idea. Recognizing all the blessings in this beautiful life is a discipline, believe it or not! How often do we go through our day without realizing how beautiful God's creation is?
These blessings come in all different forms. Creation--from the smell of rain to vibrant colors of the wildflowers to the heat of the sun--is absolutely stunning and reflects a brilliant design by a sovereign God. More personal blessings, like the tight hug of a close friend, an inside joke with your bestie, or even snuggling on the couch with your family, are more precious (and more appreciated).
Yet the most precious blessing ever is Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Just the thought of seeing (a glimpse) how deep the Father's love really is, is the most invaluable thing in this life.
And though I'm sure I don't understand or appreciate the depths of God's love fully, I know it is the best thing that ever happened in this beautiful life.

I am a junior in high-school seeking to glorify the one and only God in word and deed.
I have a wonderful family: Amazing parents, a wonderful big brother and two lovely sisters.
I love...the piano, art, writing, studying, photography, anything vintage, rotary telephones, red shoes, shopping, Starbucks, Paris, tea, travel, sunsets, and last but certainly not least, my beautiful Savior Jesus Christ and this life He blessed me with.

My Blog, I dream in French, ranges from topics of Scripture and Jesus Christ's mercy to books and movies to fashion and random experiences I encounter in life. Why don't you stop by and leave a

Thanks, Natalie! Stop by her lovely blog and leave her a comment, no?
